Amelia Island Plantation Previews Clubhouse, Reveals Renaming of Course

Amelia River Golf Club, one of four signature courses operated by Amelia Island Plantation, has opened its 3,700-square-foot-plus clubhouse and revealedAmelia Island Plantation officially the golf club's new name. Opened as Royal Amelia in 2000, Amelia River Golf Club was purchased by the Amelia Island Company in 2005, joining Oak Marsh, Ocean Links, and Long Point in the company's stable of championship golf courses. The new name reflects better the beauty of the course, as well as its location adjacent to the Amelia River on Amelia Island. The clubhouse restaurant will open in December.
